Henching Nahpui: Any tips?
I tried doing this once, killed the Dragon and Pheonix, but was slaughtered by the Turtle. Something about rapid fire Wells mixed in with the annoying Dragon Spikers.
So, any tips to make this easier? What Henches would be best for this? I used two Fighters, Two Healers, Cynn, Eve and one of the archers. Would the Mesmers actually be smart enough to do something about the rapid streams of spells?

- Don't aggro with your daggers, use a long bow
- start with kirin -> turtle -> dragon -> phoenix
- kill mini-dragons first whenever possible

Bow aggroing doesn't work too well with Henches...They have a habit of running in.
I tried taking them on in the opposite order before. So, the Kirin Essences don't make things more difficult with their healing?

start out with the phoenix portal, and make your way around by all the bosses and only kill the star monsters, once youve cleared out all the stars, kill the kirin (monk) boss first then work your way back to the phoenix. When you kill the kirin and all the miniatures spawn they only have smiting skills and 1 prot skill for hexes.
and don't take any melee henches because when you pull groups with a longbow they just run straight in and generally make pretty large aggros

use your bow to shoot once, run back, give another arrow, run back again. Hench won't attack until you attack.
So if you attack with bow, they will run up and engage, if you stop attacking, they will stop attacking.

I did it the opposite way, or pheonix first. I didn't realize it was a smiting monk, so I was fearing major heal spammage. Anyhow, when you get to the final boss, and your confident, you can just focus fire on that last boss, because when he falls, then it counts as all 4 bosses defeated.
and I kept myself alive pretty well with Protective Spirit, but I dunno whats your secondary.

i did it with hench, and it was pretty basic, didnt even use a bow and all and had devona (she loves to run in and aggro everything). It shouldnt be 2 hard, but it will take u a way longer time with hench (it took me abt 50 min and i was a fire nuker).
I would not take Devona, she runs in too often and, like most ingame paladins, dies in about 3 secs unprotected.

Kirin --> Turtle --> Dragon --> Phoenix
The dragon will otherwise annoy you for the entire thing...the kirin and the turtle are both easy to kill as an assassin since they bleed, poison, and deep wound.
It's also nice since you find mostly essence mobs, so the turtle can't use the well, the kirin is a smiter that was hitting me for 22s when I was wearing crappy armor. Beware of the dragon, I was using shadow form just to take down one of them (could partly be that my weapons sucked at that time, whereas I'm set now).
I don't even know what the phoenix can do... it was that easy to kill when I was only using a combo of Unsuspecting + Fox Fangs + Death Blossom. If you're using the Golden Phoenix Strike combo, the bosses should just fall apart.
Good Luck

the phoenix is a mesmer. it can drain enchants, interrupt, cause mass degen... lots of nasty nasties. probably more nasty than the dragon.
the trick to doing this quest is to pull with a flatbow, and not bringing any melee-based henchies. the flatbow's high arc allows you to better positioning yourself and your henchies, so you'll be better prepared.
also, always try to pull the tengu mobs first. they are easier and stupider.

Phoenix >> Dragon >> Turtle >> Kirin. (Starting the path from Right to Left in map) Why?
Cause Kirin heals your foes. I'd rather have a whole mess of easily killed mesmers or eles, then a healer keeping the mobs alive long enough to degen/spike my group to death. As was said several times already, best advice is no melee henchies, aggro with some sort of range ie bow, wand, staff and keep those aggros as small as you can keep em.
I did this mission 3 times with all henchies, beat it every time the first try with this method. i suggest it.
GL, Enjoy.

I've successfully completed Kirin -> Turtle -> Dragon -> Phoenix at least 6 or 7 times now, with henchman. Been trying for the master bonus. I average 28 minutes with my best being 26 minutes (grr!).
Devona, Talon, Emi, Jamei, Tai, Lo Sha, and Eve.
The only healing I bring to help, is the rare heal party and orison.

Maybe I've just been missing it, but I've never seen the small kirins do anything but use Signet of Judgement. As far as I can tell, they don't heal at all.
I did Nahpui on my assassin using henchies and went in the order of Kirin, Turtle, Dragon, Phoenix. It only really got hard once I'd killed the dragon, but I still managed to beat it first try. Having to pull with henchies is slooow as an assassin, however, so I only got the standard reward.
My tips for pulling:
When possible, wait for a single monster to stray far enough from the rest of the pack so that you can run up just far enough to get it and only it inside your aggro bubble. You should just barely brush inside of that range, then pull back at a full run in the opposite direction to keep the henchies from aggroing. Stop after a couple seconds and let the monster follow you to just inside your aggro bubble again, then start running again, and repeat until you've dragged the enemies far enough away from the others to engage them. I've had a lot of success in pulling enemies this way while using henchies, and it's how I got through Nahpui.
When the above method isn't feasible (when there are too many enemies too close together) I use a longbow. What I do is get as far away as I can, fire off one arrow, then break off my attack. I run a little backwards if necessary, to keep the henchies from aggroing--and actually run backwards, I don't just backstep because that doesn't always stop the henchies. If I'm successful in pulling an enemy or two far enough towards myself I switch to using the previous method for pulling them away. If not, I fire another shot and try again until it works.

dont kill the spirits yet, kill everything around them then run. That way you dont have to fight the essences on your ay to the others. Then just back track and take em out.
probably wont get masters because of time

@Batou of Nine: The Kirin heals? That's odd...I only ever see it use Purge Conditions, Signet of Judgement, and Zealot's Fire... what healing does it have?

hate to say this, but you're all missing the easiest way. If you don't care about the rank you get- because this will take a while- the fail proof way of doing this is quite simply killing off all the guardians first, and leaving the bosses. Then come retrack your path, killing off the bosses and spirits that spwan. I have doen this with henchies without a single death- it's very easy.
